We understand how diabetes can affect the whole person and many aspects of daily life. Because of this, we offer a many customized services to help patients learn how to manage their diabetes.
We offer monthly group diabetes education classes for FREE to anyone in the community who is interested in attending.
The goal of these classes is to provide people in our community with the information and tools they need to manage their diabetes and prevent both short-term and long-term complications of diabetes. Each class session focuses on one of an assortment of topics, including the basics of diabetes, medications, complications of diabetes, and nutrition.
These sessions offer the advantage of being led by a licensed healthcare professional in a group setting with other people who have been diagnosed with diabetes. This combination allows for people to get in-depth, accurate information and advice, and support from other people in the community who are also living with diabetes.
The sessions are held in the Moore-Few Community Room located at 901 South Adams St, Nevada, MO. For more information on class dates, times, and topics, contact Sarah at 417-667-6044.
In addition to our free Diabetes Education Class and Support Group, we offer in-depth, one-on-one diabetes education sessions for a fee at the pharmacy.

These sessions are provided by a licensed pharmacist who is specially trained in diabetes management. Our pharmacists have extensive experience in educating and training patients on diabetes management.
We follow the American Diabetes Association Guidelines and work with each patient’s physician or primary healthcare provider to ensure optimal outcomes for the patient.
These sessions are 60 minutes of one-on-one time with the pharmacist, and tailored to meet the needs of the individual patient. Sessions can be completed at one visit or through multiple visits with the pharmacist. We encourage multiple visits for most of our patients due to the amount of content to review.
The fees for these visits may be paid for out-of-pocket. Some insurance companies do cover this service in full or in part through Medication Therapy Management Programs. For more information call Sarah at 417-667-6044.
Medication Therapy Management Services are one-on-one visits performed by a pharmacist. Sometimes just called “MTM,” these services include a full medication review of your prescription and over-the-counter medications. We recommend most patients have a medication review performed at least once a year.
The goals of each medication review are to:
The pharmacist works with the patient’s prescribing healthcare provider to make any changes when necessary.
Some insurance plans do pay for these services, or they are available as an out-of-pocket expense. To find out if you are eligible contact your insurance plan or call us
